Yup, that'll work. Lemme know in the email if there's any place in particular you'd like to start.

((Sorry about the wait.))
It's a fine, autumn morning in the Harmonious Glades Caern of Mt. Shasta. Today's your day; well, birthday that is. Or, so you think. Anyway, it's the day your elders have chosen to let you prove yourself, now that you're properly of age.
"Excited, Koeus?" one of your elders, Knows the Sign, asks. He is also a theurge, and one of the few lupus you've met.

"Anxious is more like it." I respond, "What can I expect to face in the coming trials, elder?"

"Nothing I'm sure you can't handle," he says with a heavy pat on your back. "You'll do fine."

"Sundown. Go talk to Marks the Stone a little before then, he'll fill you in. Good luck! I've got to get going... I have faith you'll do well."

I wander around doing whatever it is I do on a typical day, trying to mentally prepare myself for what is to come. When I think it is about time, I seek out Marks.
((Is it safe to assume that I am fairly adept at basic things in garou life, such as stepping sideways and changing forms? I have grown up in garou society, rather than in homid/lupus.))

((Yup, that'd definitely be safe to assume...))
It's about evening time. Most garou are off doing their own thing for now. Most of your sept is Children, but there is a small spattering of other tribes. Most of the Children like you very much, but those of other tribes are a bit iffy around you. They treat you alright, but don't seek your company.
Anyway, you find Marks the Stone with ease, he's in his usual spot. He greets you warmly and invites you to have a seat. "I've chosen a task for you. I think you'll enjoy it... but I don't think you'll have an easy time. I've hidden an item in the umbra, and by finding it, you'll earn both the item, and your rite of passage. All I can tell you is that a tree holds the key, where a river crosses the bridge. Vague enough for you, Koeus?"

"Sounds like fun, I love a challenge. Any words of wisdom for me before I head out?"
((What do I know of the surrounding area's geography, particularly about river/bridges, and trees of note? Also, is there a moon bridge nearby?))

"Don't die," he says with a bit of a wink.
You're in a forest, yes... so there are several interesting trees, none that you can think of that are terribly remarkable. You've not ventured too far from the caern in the umbra at this point, so who knows. There is a moon bridge leading out of the caern that can be opened. There aren't any main rivers in the vicinity that you know about.

Well, the moon bridge is my best shot. I'll step sideways, and head to it. ((Do I need someone else to open the moon bridge or can I? Do I know where it leads? What risks are there associated with using the bridge, and do i need to get permission to use it?))

You will have to ask the bridge keeper to open the bridge for you. He can answer your questions.
