Ok, so apparently the moon bridge won't be available (due to the storm) for our trip back, so, in the space of time between this trip and our next actual adventure we get to go out and have some fun running across country and making our way back to Cali. Anyway, by the time we get back, ReKka says we'll all be rank 3 and will have 60 new xp to spend (she recommends new gifts).
So, that's the announcement stuff, now for the actual point of this thread: we need to decide what all actually happened on our way back to buff us up two ranks and give us all that xp and renown. It doesn't have to be like a detailed story or anything, but she wants something that we'd at least be able to tell at a moot. So, if anyone has any ideas on what kinds of things we could have encountered on the way back, go ahead and drop them in here, then we can decide as a group what all we went through together.
First suggestion: we totally fought with some leeches and beat the shit out of them. They never saw it coming. We ended up with a few scratches and scrapes, but nothing to cry to mommy about or anything.

Actually, that was one of my thoughts too - probably when we pass by Chicago. IIRC that place has a good amount of vamps, particularly Sabbat. Need to look through the Book of the Wyrm for some good enemies.

Besides, sabbat would make for some good stories, what with the tzimisce and lasombra. Crazy fleshcrafting and having to fight living shadows. Hell, we could even get up as far as Vozhd... I think that's how it's spelled... Those things are mean.
If anyone wants any weird bone deformities that'd be the time for it to happen (since they can make your bones twist and rip their way out of your flesh...)
Other things to mess with would be more fomori, more BSD's, or for another messed up vampire thing we could go against the Baali. Those guys are definitely twisted. Beware balefire.

Not familiar with Vozhd - what type of vamp are they? Baali aren't in North America, as best I know. In any case, any vamp is bad news, not just Sabbat. Though it would be interesting to pit Vicissitude against a werewolf's natural healing abilities....
There's also fighting against Mages, if we wanted to go in that direction - Technocracy, perhaps bring back a gift for our friends the Glass Walkers in SF? Well, gift/trophy, at any rate. And of course there's always monkey-wrenching Pentex, I'm sure they have facilities along the way.
Don't forget, too, that there are caerns scattered about the US - more allies are always good, and it would be probably good to help them out. Perhaps Uktena Bane-tenders let something get a bit out of hand and could use the help?

I'll have to look at the stuff on the Baali again, it's been a while. I mainly say it cause they were in my first vamp campaign. I think they can kind of move anywhere now, since cultures are mixing so much.
Anyway, Vozhd are something made by the Tzimisce by taking the bodies of 5-12 people, melding them all together, then lobotomizing the brain so it only has one purpose, only follows its creators instructions, and can't have mental abilities used on it. The things are like giant flesh golems, but obviously since they're made by Tzimisce, they typically also have bone spikes and things protruding from everywhere.
Don't know much about mage...

As a note, a friend also loaned me the player's guide to Fomori, detailing the different types and creating them and such. You guys are welcome to borrow it, but it's fairly visceral and disgusting, so not for the weak of stomach (like me).

Heh, I remember looking at a little bit of it actually, and yeah, it's kinda gross.
so yeah, we still need to figure out basically what we did on our trek cross country...

Ok, so most gifts we can probably learn along the way anywhere, but if anyone has any big fetishes that they're buying with their xp then this might be the place to figure out where you got them. We can have a general way that you got them, or it could even become part of our 'what we did to become badass and beefy' section.
Speaking of which, the campaign is this sunday, so we should probably get something together for that.

Really? I may have to bow out. I'm trying to get an abstract together for SEG and it's due wednesday, plus a homework assignment due Weds as well (that i really haven't started, see above for reason), so my Sunday's going to be pretty busy I suspect.

Awww... And I even made sure to schedule it a ton in advance. =/ I need you there at least for the first part--the second part is... important, but something you could miss. Would you possibly be able to make it for a few hours, for half the session?

Possibly. We'll see how research and the like go. I'll try to be there.

Spiffy. If you do come, and have to leave, I'll try to keep the first portion to the point and try to keep everyone from straying too much. ^^
