"Up to you."
((The GM suggests short umbral quests for gifts, now that you're allowed to have them...))

((Wait, so I wasn't allowed to have them before? The only gifts that I haven't used in the prelude, that I already have on my char sheet are Uncloak the Hidden, and Mother's Touch. I guess I'll head out to get those two.))
I go find Marks-the-Stone or Knows-the-Sign and ask for any advice on where in the umbra I could find a Unicorn spirit.((still haven't gotten far in the umbra book yet))
((Also, 2 things about Uncloak the Hidden- First, who teaches it? The online reference says Hakahe, whats that? Second, I think I can use uncloak on areas or objects, based on the gift description. I just pick a target and concentrate))

((Wow, way to go me. Anyway, back online now...))
You find Knows-the-Sign with little effort. "Unicorn? Hm, I don't know offhand locally where you might find one. If you're thinking of learning Mother's Touch, there are a few Garou around here that might teach you if you get on their good side."

"Oh really? Who might that be?" I ask. I wait for a response, and then begin tracking down whoever he indicates.

He points you to Lingering Twilight, another Metis.
He nods to you, "How may I help you?"

"Greetings Brother. I was hoping to ask a favor of you. As a Child, and a Theurge, I thought that it might be important for me to know Mother's Touch. I've also been told that you could teach it to me. Would you be willing to?

"Of course. Naturally, though, I won't be able to teach you overnight... it's better to learn from the source, but... yeah, Unicorns are kind of hard to track down..."
He goes about teaching you--and it takes nearly two weeks to get the hang of.
In the meantime, you get to know the warder pretty well, and he generally has you off tending to weeds and bramble around the caern.
After a month or so, you begin to crave something... more exciting.

As the boredom reaches the point which I can't take anymore, I decide to seek out the head of the caern. ((what's that called?))
"Pardon me Elder, but may I have a word?" I ask. "I don't mean to sound unappreciative of the life I have in the caern, but I was hoping, well... Now that I have completed my Rite of Passage, I was hoping I might be assigned duties more...um...meaningful than helping the warder with gardening. Its just, I'd like to do something that might challenge me a bit, as well as help the caern."

Generally that'd be the Grand Elder.
He nods as you talk. "That's fair, and I'm glad you'd like to challenge yourself. I'm hesitant to break up any of the packs to accommodate you, though. However, there is something that has been brought to my attention of late that you may be able to assist me with. How would you feel about leaving the caern for an extended period of time?"

Sounds interesting, what'd you have in mind?

"Well, a good friend of mine who is the Grand Elder of a caern in San Francisco has put out a request for garou to come to his caern to help protect it. They have a very rare and powerful caern there and are in dire need of garou to guard it."

Wonderful. We'll miss you, of course, but I hope the arrangement works out. Let me know when you'd like to leave, and we can request a moon bridge to get you there. I'm sure Waxing Vigilance will treat you well."

I gather my few possessions and prepare to leave immediately. When I am ready, I notify the Grand Elder

"I appreciate your enthusiasm Koeus. Is there anything else we can do for you?"
