Jack's still getting used to the flip between the worlds, but he's handling it better each time.
("Come on, now, luv, yer not just gonna leave me hangin' like that, now? So what's tha matteh? What was that thing, and why woul' webs be some big 'ol deal?")

"Webs are a sign that the Weaver is close. The Weaver is part of the Triat: Wyrm, Weaver, Wyld. They used to exist in balance... not so anymore. The Wyrm is mad, and tainted with an unstoppable drive for destruction. The Weaver is, in my opinion, also mad... and as much of a threat. She wants to encase the world in order and destroy all chaos. Weaver spirits close to here mean trouble's afoot with the humans closeby. As for the Wyld... well, there isn't as much formulated sentience for it to go mad... as if it wasn't already. All about the chaos... which can be dangerous, but the Wyld at least isn't actively out to kill us. That work?"

She smirks a bit.
Michael is sharpening his hunting knife. "Have fun in the Umbra?"

Jack spills it out in a rush. ("Sure did! It was all bright and smelling, ever thing was like whoa, and there was this weird smellin' creacha, all oozy and shi', and I lep' out and sliced it all in one go, it was bloody brilliant iffen I be saying meself, only it was all webby inside, so I guess it was from tha Weavah and not the Wyrm, or mebbe both or somefing, so we thought ya should know.") He grins and wags his tail a bit.

Michael initially smiles at your excitement, but his demeanor changes as soon as you mention the creature. "What was it, Sings?"
"Nothin' I've ever seen before."

("So what are we gonna do? Do ya think there's more of 'em around? I mean, it was wounded when I attacked it, so somethin's up - mebbe we got some allies somewhere?")

"Mmm, well, I was thinking about moving on in the morning... but we should check this out and see if it's anything important. Sings, go see if you can find Greg. It's huntin' time."
She returns in a moment with Takes the Dawn in tow.

Jack's still hyped from the action, and is ready for anything! But he'll follow Michael's lead here, of course.

Heh, can't tell he's the Alpha... 9.9
Anyway, you set off back into the Umbra. It still feels... strange. You'll get used to it someday.
Sings points out where you battled the strange creature, which is easy enough since the body is still there. Some bug spirits are working on getting it cleaned up. Michael examines the body. "Hm, I wouldn't say it's Weaver... smells more of the Wyrm to me. Looks like it got in a tussle with some Weaver spirits and got away. Probably was too injured and distracted to notice you two." He spits on it. "Good riddance. Still, he can't have gone far, we should see what kind of trouble it was into and if it's a threat to us as well."

Jack will sniff around, looking/smelling for signs of where it came from, any tracks that might be there, focusing his search on where he remembered the smell originally coming from and/or where he saw it crash into the clearing.

You're a little disoriented at first, but your nose leads you true. The creature seems to have traveled some distance before meeting up with you. You follow the scent for almost a mile before stumbling upon a heap of thick webs. No spiders visible just yet, just webs. On the other side of the webs is a thick blackness and is difficult to see through. Michael motions to keep quiet and out of sight, then moves slowly away from the scene to a safe distance.

Jack peers intently into the darkness from where he is, careful not to get too close. Not that he's afraid of spiders or anything, but he'd like to know what he's facing before he goes after it. He'll follow Michael's lead.

You're still close, but out of immediate harm.
("Looks nasty to me,") Michael says. Sings and Takes both nod.
Takes the Dawn glances warily in that direction, ("I don't think we should get messed up in this. We have a message to deliver, we can add this to it.")

("Well, I'ma sure we can take it. I mean, we're werewolves, righ'? We're tough as shi'.") He looks at Michael. ("Your call, o'course. Iffen ya' thinkin we shoul' nae be tangling wit it, then we'll go our way.")
