The sun finally sets, and it's now twilight. You only know that the moot will begin when it starts getting really dark out.
You think you've been around the caern at least twice and met just about everyone, when you see someone approach you haven't met yet. A young man, probably just about your age.
Enter James... go.

James is carrying a big stack of supplies for the caern, throwing down rugs, tidying up, and generally making the place look presentable. He is efficient, with a practiced hand, and neatly steps behind garou and keeping out of the way. Still, he somehow seems preoccupied.

Ulric moves over to his father and waits for his attention, then asks quietly,
"Who is that, and why does it look like he's doing all the work?" He motions with his head to the young man walking around.

"Oh um, that's your half-brother, James. He's kinfolk, one of the few that hangs around here on a regular basis." He looks a little sheepish for forgetting to tell you and all...

"Half-brother? But then that means... he has to be related to either you or mom somehow. But... you guys never told me about having a half brother..." He looks over at him curiously.

"He's mine. We've been trying to increase our garou population the last several years... and your mother's not exactly a baby-making machine. You've been one of the few.... and well, no sense in mixing up families. Sorry..."

He looks slightly confused, but nods. There are many garou cultural aspects he still needs to learn and understand.
He makes his way over to James. Once he gets there he extends his hand.
"Hey, I'm Ulric. Nice to meet you."

"Ulric." James nods. "That's a mouthful. Do you go by anything shorter?"

"Ummm, not usually. Well, I guess I've been called Rick or Ricky before sometimes... But those always make me feel like a kid."

"How about your real name? That might work."

"Real... name? Oh, like the clan name? I haven't gotten mine yet."

"Ah." James replies. "You might want to get on that."

"I think that happens after the rite of passage, right? And they said I've got a month before I do that, so I guess it'll happen when it happens, eh? So how often are you around here?"

"Every chance I get. It's pretty much my home." James says. "So you've got a month to prepare. I guess I'd better help you with that."

"You'd do that?" A big smile crosses his face. "That'd be great. I'm really not sure what I'm supposed to be doing around here other than waiting for the moot tonight."
((Random note: remember that Ulric is also like 13-14 years old))
